[www.inewsguyana.com] – Former policeman, Otis Grant is said to be in a stable condition at a city hospital after he was shot on Monday, February 23 on Regent Street.
iNews understands that Grant and another person were in a heated argument and gunshots were later heard. The incident reportedly took place at approximately 5:00hrs.
However, according to media release from the Police Force, Grant, 39 years of Betverwagting, ECD, was sitting in a parked motor vehicle on Regent Street, Georgetown, when two men approached and discharged rounds at him.
The perpetrators escaped in a waiting motor vehicle. According to reports, Grant was dismissed from the Guyana Police Force and was previously questioned in connection with a number of criminal activities.
