Some 150 workers marched from Damon Cross at La Belle Alliance to the Regional Administration Office at Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast in celebration of Labour Day.
Some participating unions are the Guyana Trade Union Congress (GTUC) – an umbrella union, and the Guyana Teachers Union (GTU).
In brief remarks, Regional Executive Officer, Dennis Jaikarran called for more unity among trade unions.
