[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 24 – year – old mother of two, of Hampton Court, Essequibo Coast is recovering at the Suddie hospital after being shot by her angry husband early this morning (Monday, May 12).
According to reports, Asha Singh’s husband aimed a gun to her head and fired but missed, resulting in her being grazed to the side of her head.
Singh, who was knocked to the ground by the bullet was picked up by relatives and rushed to the Suddie Hospital. Police Officers who rushed to the scene are currently on a hunt for the shooter who has since gone into hiding.
iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) was informed that Singh was shot at her mother’s house at Hampton Court after her husband, Kumar, who is in the process of divorcing her, turned up to see his two children and she refused.
A heated argument ensued, after which the woman was shot. Kumar is a resident of Three Friends Village. A police investigation is underway.
