[www.inewsguyana.com] – An Essequibo resident known as ‘Rasta man’ and ‘Roy’ was found dead in his house at Exmouth Village on the Essequibo Coast on Saturday morning, September 05.
iNews understands that the man lived alone in a small house surrounded by thick vegetation and was discovered by a resident after foul odor emerged from the house.
The police were informed and the swollen body of the man was removed and taken to the Suddie Funeral Home. A post mortem examination is expected to be performed to determine the cause of death.
iNews understands that Roy, who was well known by residents in the area, would walk the public road early in the morning with a cutlass on his shoulder.
He is said to be a peaceful resident who cared for fruit trees and voluntarily clean the drains in the community. His relatives reportedly reside overseas.
