A driver attached to the Guyana Oil Company (GuyOil) in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) was on Wednesday evening killed after he reportedly lost control of the motorcycle he was driving and slammed into a utility pole.
The dead man has been identified as 59-year-old Sugrim Singh also known as “Sugo” of Perseverance Estate. Based on reports received, the accident occurred at about 20:30h at Johanna Cecelia, Essequibo Coast.
At the time, the now dead man was driving motorcycle CE 5133. As a result, he sustained injuries and was taken to the Suddie Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Investigations are ongoing.
