[www.inewsguyana.com] – The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) is debunking statements reportedly made by President David Granger that its leader, Bharrat Jagdeo promised to assist the APNU+AFC government in recovering billions of dollars which cannot be accounted for under the previous PPP/C administration.
President Granger and the Opposition Leader recently met for the first time since the APNU+AFC took office and according to a report carried in the Kaieteur News on September 06, the President said that “I wouldn’t divulge what he said but from our conversation on Monday he was quite prepared to give advice on financial matters and in fact he mentioned some things which I am confident will help the government to recover some revenue and bring more money into our coffers. So he has been very friendly and cooperative. I look forward to a fruitful engagement.”
But when questioned about this, General Secretary of the PPP, Clement Rohee told reporters at a press conference on Monday, September 07, 2015 that Jagdeo never made such statements to the President.
“I believe that is erroneous; I spoke to the former President on that report and we both agreed that it is an erroneous statement and I understand that he will be holding a press conference, not necessarily to deal with that, among other matters.”
When asked by iNews if the President is lying, Rohee responded:“Let Jagdeo say that.”
where in the statement did the former president say he “promised to assist the APNU+AFC government in recovering billions of dollars which cannot be accounted for under the previous PPP/C administration.” all the former president is saying is that he is” quite prepared to give advice on financial matters and in fact he mentioned some things which I am confident will help the government to recover some revenue and bring more money into our coffers”
It is very surprising that people cannot understand simple ENGLISH LANGUAGE real ASSES
Granger is no stranger to games.
He learned well from the master despot Forbes Burnham
Lincoln Lewis indicated that Jagdeo is duplicitous and speaks with a forked tongue. I believe him. One who would know also said that Granger was devious and wily. Granger should therefore be more than able to cope with Jagdeo’s fancy footwork. It seems to me that Granger set him up and he fell for it. Jagdeo’s denial looks like a admission of guilt or at least a sign of discomfort.
It does not matter about Satanic Bastard . The government has to work together for the good of the country. I believe Granger is not a foolish man, he knows exactly what the Bar Rat is up to, but is still keeping the good of the country in the front of his mind, which is good.
It is indeed gratifying to hear that the meeting between Former President Jagdeo and President Granger was a positive one and that they have agreed to work for the good of the country. That is how true politicians should behave and conduct themselves. It is ok to disagree on issues but Not is also expected that resolutions are in the best interest of the country and most of all the people of Guyana.
Last but not least – Clement Rohee sounds like a babbling idiot constantly put both of his feet in his mouth. Rohee let these two men do their work and stop getting involve.
Why is the Gov’t romancing with these Satanic Bastards ? Is this Gov’t aware of the nasty , slippery , perpetually lying and uncooperative history of the PPP? Is this a hoax ? Are we to believe that the Gov’t truly feels they can convert the crooked PPP into a workable efficient support group ? What a joke ! A real sick Joke !
Of course Jagdeo didn’t…. Why would this lying, thieving parasite help anyone to uncover the billions he and his parasitic colleagues, family and friends syphoned off…
Rohee spoke to the infamous former President and he assured that he never promised Granger to recover any stolen or missing public funds. I believe Jagdeo, because that would mean Jagdeo and all his cohorts would go broke in a heartbeat!
I still do not know why Granger is obsessed with working with Jagdeo. I think Granger needs a cold, bold reality check, because he seems to living in a different political dispensation or universe.
