The Ministry of Public Infrastructure has announced that it will soon commence emergency rehabilitative works on the Railway Embankment Bridge at Ogle, East Coast Demerara, resulting in the structure’s closure.
According to the MPI, tThese works will commence on September 30, 2017 and will see the closure of the bridge to all traffic. Before then, the bridge will be closed to all trucks requiring a lorry license. This closure to trucks will take effect from tomorrow, September 23.
