An East La Penitence man was today placed on $7,500 bail and bonded to keep the peace when he appeared before Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan to answer five charges.
Twenty – Six – year old Daniel Young of 29 East La Penitence Georgetown was charged with two counts of threatening language, one count of assault, one threatening behavior and abusive language.
He pleaded not guilty to all five offences which he allegedly committed against his grandmother Iona Young and his cousin Ronald Young. The court was told that on July 16 at 29 East La Penitence the man and his cousin had a misunderstanding when his grandmother tried to intervene resulting in a confrontation between the three.
The matter was reported to the police and Young was subsequently charged. He will make his next court appearance on July 29. [Royan Abrams]
