Police say investigations are being conducted into yet another fatal accident which occurred at Goed Fortuin Public Road, West Bank Demerara (WBD), about 04:05 hrs today Saturday, June 4, 2016, that resulted in the death of Shawn Patrich 21 years, of David Rose Street, Bagotville, WBD.
Investigations disclosed that the deceased who was riding a motor cycle CH 8338 proceeding south at a fast rate, overtook a motor car on a turn, hit the left side front of motor lorry GJJ 5817 which was facing south and then slammed onto a light pole, according to a police statement issued this morning.
The man was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA).
The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
