[www.inewsguyana.com] – Dynamic Airways remains unsure on an exact date for the return of GEO –JFK flights, but according to local representative Captain Gerald Gouveia, the airline is committed to serving the route.
Gouveia, who was cautious in not giving any timeline that could not be met, assured that Dynamic Airways was regrouping and reorganizing; hinting that the airline could recommence serving the Guyanese public in time for Christmas 2014.
He recalled meeting with the airline’s senior management last week where its commitment to continue flying from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport to the John F. Kennedy International Airport was noted.
Gouveia, local aviation professional and Head of the Roriama Group of Companies, said the airline is setting up a task force that will then roll out a strategic plan. He told iNews that himself and team have been invited to be a part of the internal operations of the company.
“We were heading the operations here but this is the first time we will be a part of the internal operations,” he added.
He said Guyanese will be given enough notice of a return date whenever it is decided upon.
“I am proud of working with Dynamic Airways… I think what they needed was a paradigm shift from chartering to non – schedule flights,” Capt. Gouveia opined.
Meanwhile, he has invited all outstanding affected passengers to visit his office so that unresolved issues can be addressed.
He said the airline has always given a commitment to protect all passengers; highlighting the lengths to which it has gone to do so.
Dynamic Airways had failed to honour its August 8 target to return direct flights between CJIA and JFK.
The airline had suspended all flights on July 8, approximately two weeks after it commenced operations; explaining that the suspension was due to operational difficulties the airline encountered while trying to secure time slots at the JFK airport for the month of July.
When the cancellation was announced, Dynamic had indicated that it will allow the airline to secure time slots at JFK airport, organize better ground handling and check in process as well as secure schedule integrity which Dynamic Airways is well known for.
Dynamic Airways hit its first snag during its inaugural flight to New York on June 27, which led the airline to fire its ground handler, causing hours of delay and missed connecting flights for its passengers.
Well said and true why the people of Guyana depending on another country air line that sucks and the price Ha that is a killer. Come on i am sure BK can start an air line
