[www.inewsguyana.com] – Dynamic Airways has secured the relevant approval from the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) along with the international aviation authorities to recommence services between the John F. Kennedy Airport and the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (JFK-GEO).
The airlines’ non – schedule flights are expected to start plying the route from November 22. The approval, which was grant by the GCAA, allows the Airline at this point to operate until June 9, 2015.
With this approval, it also allows the airline and its travel agencies to sell tickets for the approved period (Nov. 22 – June 9).
The airline will be plying the route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Captain Gerald ‘Gerry’ Gouveia whose company – Roraima Airways –provides GSA services to Dynamic Airways had said last week that the airline was more than ready to commence flights before the end of November.
“Dynamic has regrouped, they have an entire new management team and myself and wife has been inserted into the planning and management system… as we await approval from the aviation authority we are ramping up for a start in the last week on November,” Gouveia had said.
He told iNews that the idea is to have one of the Airline’s 767 based in Guyana to fly between here and New York and Toronto; adding that a major aspect of those flights will be the transportation of fresh fruits and vegetables.
He said Dynamic has already interviewed 50 Guyanese to become Flight Attendants of which 25 have already been trained and are currently working with the airline.
He has given his commitment to ensuring that all services will be of a high level of professionalism this time around.
Dynamic Airways had failed to honour its August 8 target to return direct flights between CJIA and JFK.
The airline had suspended all flights on July 8, approximately two weeks after it commenced operations; explaining that the suspension was due to operational difficulties the airline encountered while trying to secure time slots at the JFK airport for the month of July.
When the cancellation was announced, Dynamic had indicated that it will allow the airline to secure time slots at JFK airport, organize better ground handling and check in process as well as secure schedule integrity which Dynamic Airways is well known for.
Dynamic Airways hit its first snag during its inaugural flight to New York on June 27, which led the airline to fire its ground handler, causing hours of delay and missed connecting flights for its passengers.
Guyana once again welcome Dynamic Airline . we as Guyanese hope they will not pull out of the market again. The tourism market have a lot to give all the airlines, and its time to be as one and work together and let get Guyana a new aircraft , our nation needs it for comfort, we are all independent and citizens of Guyana.
