[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men have been remanded to prison after they appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry to answer to a break and enter and larceny charge.
David Lynch and Raymond Harvey both of Albouystown, Georgetown were not required to plead to the offences on Friday, October 18.
The allegation is that between October 5 – 7 at Robb Street, Georgetown the men broke and entered Central Electronics and stole several items and cash totaling over $9 Million.
Attorney – at – Law Paul Fung-A-Fat, who represented Lynch, told the court that his client was innocent. The attorney in making his case also submitted that the police have no evidence to show that his client indeed conducted the robbery.
However, according to Police Prosecutor Bharrat Mangru the business was monitored by CCTV cameras which were reviewed after the robbery. It shows Harvey waiting in motor car PEE 716 while his accomplice Lynch broke the door, went into the premises and stole the articles. The men were remanded until November 08. [Royan Abrams]
