[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – Two – year old Nigel Umasar of Block X Diamond, East Bank Demerara and Shawn Pertab were charged with simple larceny when they appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’ s Court before Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry.
They both pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on July 12 at Water Street, Agricola East Bank Demerara, they stole one propeller value $1.4 million and one drill pipe valued $200,000 property of Yoresh Bhola.
The two men were represented by Attorney – at – law, Paul Fung – A – Fat, who made an application for reasonable bail. The Attorney also noted that the missing articles were recovered but not in the possession of his clients.
Magistrate Beharry granted bail in the sum of $150,000 each and they are expected to make their next court appearance on July 29.
