[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men charged with the offence of break and enter and larceny were remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

Devon Brown of North Sophia, Greater Georgetown and Simon Primo, 19, of Alliance Road, Timehri, East Bank of Demerara both pleaded not guilty to the charge.

It is alleged that both men on December 29 at Georgetown, broke and entered the Supervisory Room at Guyana Power and Light Inc and stole two desktop computers and one printer, together valued $1M.

Brown was represented by Attorney-at-law, Mohamed Ali while Primo was unrepresented.

Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant told the Court that both men were involved in a high speed chase with the police yesterday and are also wanted in connection with a report of armed robbery.

Bail was refused and the case was transferred before Magistrate Ann McLennan for January 13, 2015.
