Twenty – five – year old Daniel Mohamed of East Ruimveldt Georgetown and 26 – year – old Lakeisha Abrams of North Ruimveldt Georgetown, were charged with robbery underarms and unlawful wounding.
Mohamed pleaded not guilty to the robbery under arms and wounding charges while Abrams pleaded not guilty to a wounding charge. The court was told that on August 08 at East Ruimveldt Georgetown, Mohamed armed with a gun attacked and robbed Andrew Barrington of $16,000 cash while on August 15, Mohamed and Abrams went to the complainant home where they attacked him with a surgical blade and dealt him a stab to his chest.
Attorney – at – law Paul Fung-A-Fat represented Lakeisha Abrams and told the court that his client has nothing to with the robbery underarms and asked for reasonable bail.
Meanwhile, police prosecutor Vishnu Hunt objected to bail noting the serious nature of the offence and the penalty attached. According to the prosecutor, after Mohamed robbed the complainant; Lakeisha Abrams took Mohamed to the complainant’s home where both of them attacked and inflicted wounds on the complainant.
They were both remanded to prison until September 20. [Royan Abrams]
