[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – four – year old Andre D’Abreu, a miner of Thomas Street, Georgetown is nursing a gunshot wound to his left side after he and his friend were attacked by two gunmen on Saturday night (January 31) at Thomas Street.
According to the police, at about 22:00hrs, D’Abreu and 35 – year – old Jason Ramjattan, also a miner of Laing Avenue, Georgetown, were chatting on the roadway at Thomas Street when they were attacked.
One of the men shot D’Abreu to his left side and they took away an undisclosed sum of money from his motor vehicle and a cell phone from Ramjattan and escaped.
D’Abreu has been admitted to hospital and investigations are in progress.
