[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 18:00h on Saturday November 16, on the Public Road at No. 19 Village, Corentyne, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian BrimchandRampaul, 45 years, of No. 19 Village.
Investigations have revealed that BrimchandRampaul was walking along the roadway when he was struck down by a car that was travelling at a fast rate and of which the driver had lost control.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the New Amsterdam Hospital. According to the Police, the driver of the motor vehicle received injuries and is under guard at the Georgetown Hospital. Police stated that he was tested and found to have been over the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol.
