A driver was fatally injured after a tractor he was driving toppled over in the quiet village of Moraikobai, situated along the Mahaicony River in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice).
The incident occurred on Saturday around 17:00hrs.
Police Divisional Commander Marlon Chapman said the driver was returning home from a lumber yard in the area when the tractor somehow toppled over, pinning him down and eventually killing him.
INews understands that his body is currently at the Lyken Funeral Home in Georgetown and a post-mortem will be performed tomorrow (Monday).
