Minister of Tourism Catherine Hughes, on Thursday made this disclosure to members of the media during a press conference at the Ministry of Tourism, Colgrain House, Camp Street.
Minister Hughes expressed confidence in Mr. Sinclair, stating that he is capable of carrying out his duties effectively, as she spoke about his wealth of knowledge in the tourism field. “I am really excited to introduce him to you, and to be able to say that he has joined our team,” said the Minister.
Mr. Sinclair is ‘well-seasoned’ having held a number of related senior positions, both locally and internationally. Prior to his appointment, he served in Suriname as Director at the Suriname College of Hospitality and Tourism. In addition, he had previously served as Special Assistant at the Ministry of Tourism, and also Executive Director of the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA).
Congratulatuions to Mr Donald Sinclair. He’s a professional in this field for many years. I happened to ‘bounce’ into him and a group from the University of Guyana while at Bartica as they were out on a field trip to the Essequibo river, including Baganara.
Jobs for the boys. What is his salary?
Since Donald is more qualified than Cathy in tourism, then it therefore means that Cathy as minister of tourism is “square peg in round hole”
