Guyanese throughout the country have come in for high praises from the United States (U.S) Embassy, the British and Canadian High Commissions for the democratic process which they observed during Local Government Elections (LGE) held yesterday.
According to a statement, the three Diplomatic Missions reiterated their ‘strong and considered opinion that the voting and counting processes had been free, fair and credible.
“Our diplomatic observer teams, consisting of some ninety observers spread throughout nine regions, found nothing to question the integrity or credibility of the voting process…The Guyana Elections Commission has once again done a credible job in ensuring that this critical election day phase of the process was free and fair. We would like to congratulate Chairman Dr. Steve Surujbally, Chief Elections Officer Keith Lowenfield, and the Commissioners and staff of the Guyana Elections Commission for their successful organisation of these polls,” the statement added.
the ABC has more interest in Guyanese politics than their own life and country!! They think Guyanese are fools and they feel smarter and superior
Why didn’t they give the results while at it, these trouble makers knew it since last week.
