[www.inewsguyana.com] – Faces lit up, smiles got wider and eyes exuberated glee on expressions of dozens of children at the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre when Digicel stopped in to spread Christmas cheer as part of its ‘Brighten Someone’s Christmas’ campaign to spread Christmas cheer across the country.
The children at the Centre were given a complete Christmas treat with Santa Claus and his elves. Digicel also distributed toys and other goodies to the more than 70 children present, continuing a feature of previous years.
According to Director of the Centre Cynthia Massay, the event is highly anticipated by the children.
“Digicel is part of our family here at the PRRC, so having family over at Christmas time is a very joyous thing…we really enjoy Digicel’s company at this special time of year” she added.
Meanwhile, Events and Sponsorship Manager, Gavin Hope noted that “over the past five years of Digicel has been a part of Christmas Cheers with PRRC, it has been nothing but joy and pleasure to bring laughter and happiness to the children at the PRRC. The children make it Christmas for us, the joy of the season is to see those beautiful smiles on their faces.”
Digicel as part of its Brighten Someone’s Christmas will be sharing Christmas Cheers with children across Guyana. The company have already visited Regions 1,2, 7, and 10.
