[www.inewsguyana.com] – Digicel has their sights set on winning the Inter-corporation sports title when the final day of the event rolls off on Sunday, October 19 at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground.
With Wartsila in the lead with 10 points after the event started last weekend, Events and Sponsorship Manager of Digicel, Gavin Hope is sure that Digicel can reclaim the trophy.
“We want to invite all the members of the participating companies to come out and support their companies.
“Digicel will be there, we are in second right now and we anticipate that we will rise to the top and reclaim the trophy,” Hope said.
Digicel currently sits in second with eight points while Ansa McAl is in third with six points. The finals for dominoes and table tennis will be on Saturday at the Malteenos Sports Club Ground while on Sunday will be the grand finale at the DCC ground with athletics, football and cricket being played.
The other companies involved in the exhibition tournament are Qualfon, Global Tech and Noble House Seafoods. The games are expected to start from 12:00hrs on Sunday.
