[www.inewsguyana.com] – The top local cyclists are gearing for action on Saturday, March 15 in the annual Diamond Mineral Water 11-race programme.
The event set for the inner circuit of the National Park and will commence at 09:00h. The feature event of the day will be the 35-lap School Boys and Invitational race, expected to bring together the top local pedalists.
Raynauth Jeffery is the defending champion in the feature race having completed the event in a time of one hour, 15 minutes, 0.1 seconds, but will have no easy challenge in retaining that title.
Meanwhile, a new king will need to be crowned in the junior division since last year’s winner Raul Leal has moved up to the older division while Junior Niles will defend the veterans category, Ozia McUally the mountain bikes and Alfie Soonaram the 12-14 Boys and Girls titles.
