The partly decomposed body of a Corentyne man was discovered in an abandoned house at Hackney Village Corentyne, Berbice on Tuesday night.
The dead man has been identified as Roopnarine Harrynarine, 43, of Kilcoy, Corentyne.
His body was discovered hanging by the neck with a bed sheet attached to a rafter in one of the bedrooms of the building after he reportedly went missing on Sunday.
The fisherman is reportedly an alcoholic in the area and most of his time is spent out at sea.
Inews was informed that the father of two and his wife separated fifteen years ago and ever since he has taken up drinking as a main hobby.
