[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police say at about 06:00 hours this morning (Monday July 28), the decomposed body of 36 – year – old Omesh Derhup of Skeldon, Corentyne, was found on the foreshore at Kildonan, Corentyne, Berbice.
Derhup is one of the five fishermen who left for sea on July 11, 2014, aboard the fishing boat “Miss Seema” that was found on the Whim Foreshore, Corentyne on July 25, 2014.
Among the others missing are: the captain Deownanan ‘Rajesh’ Ravindranauth, 43, of Crabwood Creek and crew members Naresh Persaud, 22 and his brother, Ramesh Persaud, 19, of Number 72 Village and the other known only as ‘Prakash’.
Hope of finding the others alive seemed dim at this time.
The investigations are continuing.
