[www.inewsguyana.com] – The body of an African male was last evening (Thursday, January 08) found floating in the Demerara river in the vicinity of Watooka in the mining town of Linden.
iNews has been informed that the body was partly decomposed and was only clad in boxers at the time of the discovery. The police were called in and the body was taken to the Wismar Hospital where it is awaiting identification and a post mortem examination.
This news site was unable to confirm if the body had any marks of violence. Investigations are ongoing. (Leroy Smith)
