A young man lost his life last night after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a horse on the Mocha Access Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD) moments after he left his father’s house following a visit.
The accident is said to have occurred sometime around 22:00 hrs.
Reports are that Shemroy Cave Junior was alone on the motorcycle when the unfortunate incident occurred. The dead man’s father, Shemroy Cave Senior, transported his son to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where Shemroy Junior was pronounced dead on arrival.
It should be noted that, about four months ago, a 23-year-old young man from Mocha also lost his life when his motorcycle collided with a horse in the said area.
Stefan Henry had just dropped his niece home in Sophia, Georgetown, and was less than a minute away from his house when the accident took place.
According to sources this accident occurred around 21:30hrs in the night and residents blamed the poor lighting facilities in the area for such occurrences. (Kristen Macklingam)
