[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 22:15h on Sunday May 11, at De Kendren Public Road, West Coast Demerara, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Shameer Mangal, 53 years, of De Kendren.
Investigations have revealed that Mangal was walking along the roadway, when he was struck down by a motor vehicle, which drove away from the accident scene.
Mangal was pronounced dead on arrival at the Leonora Cottage Hospital. Investigations are in progress.
