[www.inewsguyana.com] – The trophy Stall has donated two Lien trophies to be presented to the winners of the thrilling Guyana Festival Cricket and Football matches set for August 9th, at the National Stadium Providence.
Tourism, Industry and Commerce Minister, Irfaan Ali was presented with the prizes by the proprietor of the Trophy Stall, Mr. Ramesh Sunich and expressed his appreciation to the businessman.
Mr. Sunich, in turn, noted that the gesture demonstrates their support for the Guyana Festival including the sport components.
Over the years, Mr. Sunich and Trophy Stall have been stellar supporters of the endeavours of the Ministry of Tourism and have continued to demonstrate their commitment towards the continued development within the sector.
The Guyana Festival T- 20 Cricket match will see the Master’s XI playing against the President’s XI , this game will begin at 16:00h and will be followed by the Football showdown between GDF and Slingers slated to begin at 19:00h.
This inaugural event will feature an exhibition during opening hours, Coney Island and concerts in the evening; the exhibition will showcase craft, art, culinary delights, Coney Island, celebrity tents, demonstration tents among other.
Festival components include the Opening Ceremony on this Friday August 8that 17:00h, this will also feature a GDF Air show – This will also comprise various dramatic performances highlighting the various drama groups and talents in the country. Other art forms such as craft, poetry, dance and painting will also be the highlighted.
Festival passports are on sale at various locations for $3000 and patrons are being urged to grab their chance to win a new car; this also allows entry into all three days of the event and contains discount coupons worth thousands of dollars. Tickets are also on sale at the gate for $1000 on the days of the event.
