Guyana’s Covid-19 death toll has reached 1096, following the demise of an 87-year-old fully vaccinated man from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) who was infected with the novel coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the country has recorded 892 new cases of the virus, taking the total positives recorded to date to 52,095.
There are 15 persons in the ICU, 158 in institutional isolation, 11,196 in home isolation, and four in institutional quarantine.
Recoveries stand at 39,630.
