Two more unvaccinated persons who were infected with the novel coronavirus have died, taking the country’s death toll to 1016.
The latest fatalities are two men, aged 84 and 45, who resided in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne).
The country also recorded 51 new cases of the virus, taking the total positives recorded to date to 38,453.
There are 14 persons in the ICU, 46 in institutional isolation, 743 in home isolation, and four in institutional quarantine.
Recoveries stand at 36,634.
