[www.inewsguyana.com] – A woman and her husband are the latest victims of robberies in Georgetown involving the use of firearms when they were attacked by gunmen on Thursday (February 20) on Church Street, Georgetown.
According to police, at about 12:30hrs, 39 – year – old Sunil Ramesh and his wife, 36 – year – old Anjanie Ramesh were attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Ramesh was shot and injured to his chest and right shoulder, reportedly while going to his wife’s assistance, who was robbed of a bag containing $150,000.00 and documents. The perpetrators escaped on a motor cycle.
Ramesh has been admitted to a Private Hospital while investigations are in progress.
