[www.inewsguyana.com] – A man was discovered early this morning (Wednesday, May 7) hanging from the lower flat of his two story home by family members.
He has been identified as 37 – year – old Tejlall Gadraj of 138 High Reef Dam, Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, Berbice.
iNews understands that at about 6:30hrs this morning the man allegedly tied a sheet to his neck and unto his veranda and jumped off. He was left hanging until the police arrived hours later.
According to a police source the man has been living in the area for approximately 20 years and was ill which resulted in him being admitted at a hospital in Berbice.
He was recently released after his illness improved.
The source said the man sister informed him yesterday that he is expected to return to the hospital early next month after which he allegedly became scared and took his own life.
Meanwhile, a neighbor has confirmed that the man who she described as a kind and helpful person had attempted to take his own life several times before.
Gadraj has left to mourn three brothers and two sisters
