[www.inewsguyana.com] – An iNews poll has found that citizens are not in agreement that coalition talks between political parties in Guyana should be kept secret.
iNews asked: Should coalition talks between the APNU and AFC or among any political parties be kept secret? In response 50 percent of respondents voted ‘No’, 49% voted ‘yes’ and a mere two percent were undecided.
Recently, the Alliance For Change (AFC) disclosed that it gave A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) an agreement for the two organisations to hold secret talks on a proposed pro-democracy alliance.
APNU’s Leader, David Granger acknowledged that his Party received a Non-Disclosure Agreement from the AFC, but said it could not be signed unless his side knew the details of the pro-democracy alliance proposal.
