A 26-year-old cleaner of ‘B’ Field Sophia was on Sunday stabbed and robbed in ‘C’ Field around 19:37h by two men, one reportedly armed with a knife.
INews understands that the cleaner, identified as Devon Joe was robbed of his cellphone valued at $50,000 by the duo.
Based on information received, the victim went outside to the northern side of the street to speak on his phone when the two suspects approached him.
One of the thieves reportedly pulled out a knife and demanded his cellular phone but Joe refused.
The suspect then stabbed Joe twice and as a result he fell to the ground.
They then relieved him of the phone and escaped on foot heading east.
Joe was rushed to a Georgetown hospital where he is presently admitted a patient.
His condition is regarded as stable.
So far, no one has been arrested as the Police are investigating the crime.
