[www.inewsguyana.com] – Alpha United were defeated by Central FC of Trinidad 3-1 on Sunday in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) club championships at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
Ataulla Guerra opened the scoring for Central FC the 15th minute as the visitors dominated the early going of the game while Alpha seemed clueless on defence.
One minute later, Shawn DaSilva made the game 2-nil in the 16th minute to put the Trinidadians in total control of the match. However, a goal by Konata Manning one minute before halftime gave Alpha some signs of life to end the half.
In the second half Alpha seemed to have fallen asleep as Central FC continued to dominate the possession of the ball, missing a few chances.
