The 47 – year – old pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that said on May 24 at Princess Casino, Providence East Bank Demerara, he unlawfully assaulted Paul James.
Princcioglu was represented by Attorney-at-Law, Omeyana Hamilton, who requested bail, stating that he has five years contract to be in Guyana.
Hamilton did not get into details regarding the allegation but noted that her client never touched James. The Lawyer explained that the Virtual Complainant (VC) was behaving in a disorderly manner and had to be escorted out of the casino.
However, Attorney-at-law, Ganesh Hira, who represented the accused did not oppose bail but requested that he lodge his passport. The case will call again on September 22 at the Providence Magistrate’s Court.
