The Guyana Government through the Ministry of Public Infrastructure has taken a decision not to renew the lease for a hangar located at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport which is owned by embattled Cash-Jet pilot Khamraj Lall. However, Inews understands that representatives of Lall have already started the process of taking legal action against the authorities here in the matter.
The lease expired on October 15 last year and following legal advice from the country’s Attorney General Basil Williams, a decision was taken not to renew the agreement. This is despite protestations from the principals representing Lall’s interest in Guyana.
The businessman found himself in hot water after being arrested in November last whilst in Puerto Rico following a search on one of his aircrafts by Federal Agents.
That search discovered that Lall had reportedly failed to declare hundreds of thousands of US dollars which he had in his possession.
He was charged in July last year for the importation of cocaine into the US as well.
Unmitigated Eyepass!
