[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Canadian citizen was on Sunday April 12, busted by ranks of the Custom Anti-Narcotics Unit with 18 pounds of cocaine at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).
Fifty-one – year old Aurthur Manget was caught with the illegal substance as he was about to depart Guyana on a Caribbean Airlines Flight, BW 524.
iNews understand that the elderly man was observed acting in a suspicious manner as he approached the check in counter. Ranks then observed that the sides of his suitcase looked heavier than usual, upon checking the substance was discovered.
While in Guyana, the man’s address was listed as 123 Old Road Land of Canaan East Bank Demerara.
