[Trinidad Express] – Caribbean Airlines has been named the Caribbean’s Leading Airline at the annual World Travel Awards, held in the Bahamas over the weekend.
This is the fifth consecutive year CAL has copped the award. Chief executive officer Michael DiLollo, who accepted the award on behalf of the airline, noted that CAL was very proud to be recognised by its customers, as they are at the heart of everything CAL does.
“This award comes at a time when Caribbean Airlines has had a successful summer peak performance. Our teams have worked hard and our frontline employees have persevered to make a positive difference. We are also in the final weeks before cutting over to our new Amadeus Passenger Service System, which will further enhance our customers’ travel experience,” Mr DiLollo said.
He added: “Caribbean Airlines is in a state of transformation. We continue to listen to our customers and respond to their needs, with a firm commitment to providing improved connectivity, and quality service to each and every one of our passengers”.
Also commenting on the title was World Travel Awards founder Graham Cooke who stated: “I am delighted Caribbean Airlines has been recognised by our voters as the “Caribbean’s Leading Airline” for the fifth year in a row. The World Travel Awards was founded in 1993 in order to recognize and celebrate the sterling contribution that stakeholders like Caribbean Airlines make to tourism”.
They are so successful and yet there will be no CAL flights from London Gatwick to Guyana via Trinidad and as of January 2016. Just madness trying to rebook a flight to Guyana for next year. Just crazy
