Buxton sisters accused of assaulting police officer

Two sisters were today placed on $60,000 bail each when they appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with resisting arrest, disorderly behavior and assaulting a police officer.

Teenagers, Jonelle and Natasha Sancho of 127 Sideline Dam Buxton, East Coast Demerara pleaded not guilty to all three offences.

It is alleged that on June 22 at Ruimveldt Police Station they committed the offences against sergeant Beckles. The Magistrate placed both accused on $20,000 bail for each offence and they are to make their next court appearance on July 02.
