[www.inewsguyana.com] – Owner of a vulcanizing shop, 41 – year – old Randolph Singh, known as ‘Rat’ was shot dead at his business place on Wednesday night (February 18), while another man was wounded.
iNews understands that the incident occurred at approximately 23:00hrs at the vulcanizing shop located on South Road, Georgetown between Cummings and Light Streets.
Reports indicate that Singh of 207 Charlotte Street, Bourda, Georgetown received multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen and other parts of his body. He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The injured man has been identified as 33 – year – old Debert Mohammed of Cummings Street.
According to the police, the men were sitting opposite Singh’s business place when a man armed with a firearm approached and discharged several rounds in their direction and escaped on a motor cycle.
