A businessman opened fire on two gunmen last night [Monday July 15] as they attempted to rob him.
According to the Police, at about 7:15PM, one of the gunmen, identified as Alladin Adonis, 34 years of Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, and another man who was armed with a firearm attempted to rob a businessman, who is a licensed firearm holder, at Agricola.
The businessman opened fire on the perpetrators hitting Alladin Adonis to his groin while his accomplice managed to escape.
Alladin Adonis has been admitted a patient under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
