[www.inewsguyana.com] – Bushy Park Sawmills Inc.and their owner Radeshrameshwar’s are in support of the inaugural Kashif and Shangai Chico products sponsored Inter-Secondary School Under-18 Competition.
The company’s General Manager Patty Ramlall,recently handed over a quantity of gear to teacher and coach of UitvlugtSecondary School, ChevonMonchoir, as part of its contribution to the tournament.
Uitvlugt is one of four schools from West Demerarathat received the sponsorship for the tournament with Leonora, Stewartville and Patentiabeing the others.
According to K&S director Kashif Muhammad, the overhead cost to run the tournament is $27M with $1.2 million to be handed over to the winners.
Meanwhile,Rameshwar through his business entity purchased 1,000 tickets for two playing days in Georgetown and Den Amstel, to be distributed free amongst school children who are desirous of witnessing the matches.
This year’s tournament, will involve 24 of the nation’s top schools, including two times Digicel nationwide inter-secondary school champions Wismar/Christianburg Secondary.
It kicks off on Sunday, December 8 at the Georgetown Cricket Club Ground, while the finals will take place at the Guyana National Stadium, on Wednesday January 1, 2014.
