[www.inewsguyana.com] – A minibus driver is now nursing a gunshot wound to his after he was shot by one of two bandits that carried out the robbery.
According a police statement, at about 11:45hrs on Saturday October 10, two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, held up Feroze Ghanni at Flour Mill Access Road, Ecclses East Bank Demerara (EBD).
48-year-old Ghanni along with the conductor Rafael Ghanni and passenger Dhanmattie Ramana, of New Road, Essequibo Coast were robbed of a total of $21,000.
Police say the men has boarded the bus at Parika and then requested that the driver make the stop in Eccles.
Ghanni has been admitted to a hospital and police investigations are in progress.
