– in shocking early-morning attack
Less than an hour ago, police reportedly arrested a man who allegedly chopped his 3-year-old son Samuel to death, killed his wife Vanessa by inflicting several stab wounds about her body and also chopped off one of his mother’s hands resulting in her death as well.
The shocking incident occurred around 04:30 hrs this morning in the family’s humble abode aback Best/Crane Village, West Coast Demerara.
Reports are that moments after committing the gruesome act, the suspect – a 28-year-old construction worker – fled the scene and hid in the bushes aback Best Village after police and residents in the area began searching for him.
It is unclear at this point in time as to what drove the man to commit the ghastly murders.
He is presently in police custody and investigations into the matter continue.
