APNU, AFC agree to coalition

APNU, AFC Leaders: David Granger and Khemraj Ramjattan sign the coalition agreement.

[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Alliance For Change (AFC) and A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) have finally agreed to form a coalition party to contest the May 11 polls.

This agreement was reached following weeks of discussions between the two sides, where on Saturday February 14, it was agreed that APNU Leader, David Granger will be the Presidential Candidate and AFC’s Moses Nagamootoo will be the Prime Ministerial Candidate.

On Friday, Granger at his weekly press conference had expressed optimism about the formation of a coalition. More details on the agreement will be revealed at a joint press conference scheduled for later today.
