Guyana’s Minister of Communities Ronald Bulkan announced, moments ago, that November 12, 2018 is the designated date for local government elections.
According to the Department of Public Information (DPI), this order is to be gazetted by the end of the day.
$2.9B is allocated to the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) for preparations for the election, which have begun.
