Leolyn Sullivan, 34 years, of Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden, was allegedly murdered during a heated argument with her reputed husband at about 0200h this morning, Monday, January 18, 2016.
According to a police statement, investigations have revealed that Leolyn Sullivan and her reputed husband had a domestic argument during which she was stabbed multiple times about her body.
During the incident her two daughters came to her defence and one of them, Shemeka Campbell, 18 years, was stabbed to her arm and neck.
The suspect then self-inflicted wounds to his neck and chest, in what is believed to be a suicide bid.
They were taken to the Linden Hospital where Leolyn Sullivan was pronounced DOA and Shemeka Campbell was admitted. The suspect has also been admitted to the Linden Hospital where he is under police guard.
Investigations are being conducted into the murder.
