According to information received moments ago, earlier this afternoon, ranks of the Customs and Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) seized a quantity of plywood materials in which an unidentified amount of cocaine had been concealed.
The discovery was made in the vicinity of the Linden/ Soesdyke Highway road. It is unclear at this point the quantity or value of the illegal drug, or if anyone has been arrested in connection with the seizure.
INews understands that CANU’s top brass are currently engaged in a high-level meeting where the issue is being discussed.
